David Otto is a freelance artist currently based in Chicago, IL. His richly layered and detailed paintings are narrative, often surreal and expressive illustrations, many of which feature animals engaged in activities that comment subjectively about human issues. His professional work includes both private and corporate commissions.
Dave earned his BFA in Illustration from California College of the Arts in 2002, and was awarded the honor of High Distinction. He is from Moline, IL, and has lived and worked in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, Seattle, and Osaka, Japan.
